Summary
We collect the photos you upload, the coloring pages we make from them, and your basic Google profile (name, email, profile photo) if you sign in. We store these so you can come back to them, and we currently keep them indefinitely. You can email us anytime to delete what we have. We never sell your data, never show ads on Kiddo, and never use your photos to train an AI model.
1. Information We Collect
(a) Photos you upload. When you use the photo→coloring-page tool, we receive the photo file you upload.
(b) Coloring pages we generate. We store the coloring page produced from your photo so you can re-download or re-print it later.
(c) Information from Google when you sign in. If you sign in, Google shares with us your name, email address, and profile photo URL. We do not see or store your Google password.
(d) Browser-side daily-quota counter. Your browser stores a small localStorage entry called kiddo:quotacontaining today’s date and how many coloring pages you’ve made today. This is on your device — we do not see it on our servers.
2. How We Use Information
We use the information we collect to:
- run the photo→coloring-page tool;
- enforce the daily upload allowance;
- keep your generated coloring pages available to you;
- respond to support and legal requests;
- maintain security and prevent abuse;
- improve the Service.
4. Storage, Retention & Deletion
We currently keep both your original photo and the generated coloring page indefinitely, so you can come back later and reprint or share what you made. We are working on automatic deletion controls and will publish them here once they ship.
In the meantime, you can ask us to delete any of your photos and coloring pages at any time — and we will, within 30 days — by emailing privacy@kiddo.example. If you signed in, please email from the same address that’s tied to your Google sign-in. If you didn’t sign in, please include enough detail for us to find your uploads (an approximate date and time, a screenshot of the result, or any reference number we sent you).
We keep encrypted backups and access logs for security and legal-compliance purposes; deletion requests reach those systems on the same schedule, with the exception of legally required retention.
6. Your Privacy Rights
You can ask us, at any time, to:
- tell you what personal information we hold about you;
- correct it;
- export it in a portable format;
- delete it;
- restrict or object to certain processing.
To make a request, email privacy@kiddo.example from the address associated with your Google sign-in (or, if you used Kiddo without signing in, include enough detail for us to locate the uploads). We will acknowledge your request within seven days and complete it within thirty days, unless we are legally required to retain some information longer (in which case we will tell you why).
If you are in the European Union, the United Kingdom, or another jurisdiction with similar laws, you also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data-protection authority.
If you are a California resident, you have the rights described under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) and similar laws — to know, delete, correct, opt out of sale, limit the use of sensitive information, and not be discriminated against for exercising those rights. We do not sell your personal information.
7. Children’s Privacy
Kiddo is built for parents and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children under 13. If you are a parent or guardian and you believe a child has provided personal information directly to Kiddo, please email privacy@kiddo.example and we will delete it.
Because Kiddo turns photos into coloring pages, we know that many of the photos parents upload will be photos of their own children. By uploading a photo that depicts a child, you represent that you are that child’s parent or legal guardian (or that you otherwise have authority to upload images of that child) and that you consent on the child’s behalf to the photo being processed as described in this policy. We do not market to children, do not require children to interact with the Service themselves, and do not use uploaded photos to train AI models.
For users in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, the age of digital consent ranges from 13 to 16 depending on country; if you are under that age, please use Kiddo only with a parent or guardian.
8. International Data Transfers
Vercel and Replicate are based in the United States. If you are in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, or another region whose data-protection law requires safeguards for international transfers, we rely on Standard Contractual Clauses or equivalent mechanisms with our processors.
9. Security
We use industry-standard security measures, including encryption in transit (HTTPS) and access controls on our admin tools. No system is 100% secure; if we ever discover a breach affecting your data, we will notify you and applicable authorities as required by law.
10. Changes to This Policy
We may revise this Privacy Policy. When we do, we’ll change the “Last updated” date at the top and post the new policy here. For material changes, we’ll try to surface them prominently in the app.
